    Try the online help=&v4=DH_FREE

Yout should be able to get to something that will help you that way.
Afraid I can’t imagine what is stopping the install working although the product is not too good at recognising online statuses.
Do you have an MSN/Microsoft Passport or are you just using a hotmail account – or hasn’t it even got that far through the install I wonder!

I’ve got Vista and had the same horrendous problems when trying to get the MSN live messenger working. I had to go to the Microsoft site as well as the manufacturer of my computer and download an encrypted zip folder before it would work. There were compatibility issues with my computers manufacturer (Acer) , Vista and MSN. It sounds like you are having the same problems. I also had to run an anti virus scan before opening and installing the data from the zip folder as MSN warned me it could be corrupted! It took me ages but I did eventually manage to sort it out and it now runs perfectly.

do you have .NET framework installed on your system I think “Live” sevices may need this to work!!!

The .NET Framework version 1.1 redistributable package includes everything you need to run applications developed using the .NET Framework.

The .NET Framework version 1.1 provides improved scalability and performance, support for mobile device development with ASP.NET mobile controls (formerly the Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit), support for Internet Protocol version 6, and ADO.NET classes for native communication with Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) and Oracle databases. It also enables the use of code access security to further lock down and isolate ASP.NET applications. For more information, read the .NET Framework Version 1.1 Product Overview.
