I’m becoming a volunteer tutor in order to get SSL Hours(Student Service Learning Hours), where I live you need to get SSL Hours in order to graduate from high school. I’m gonna tutor elementary school kids. I really have no idea how to become a tutor…I know how to teach kids things without giving the answer right away. I just need to know what are some fun methods so they won’t get bored..or anything???

I would like to open a home-based business. I am thinking of Medical Billing & Coding Services. How do I start? (aside from having experience in this field)
What do I need to start, financially, legally. How do I market/advertise this kind of business?
I am currently in school taking the training and course to become certified.

Dear Sir/madam/automated telephone answering service,

Having spent the past twenty minutes waiting for someone at Bodmin police station to pick up a telephone I have decided to abandon the idea and try e-mailing you instead.
Perhaps you would be so kind as to pass this message on to your colleagues in Bodmin, by means of smoke signal, carrier pigeon or Ouija board.
As I’m writing this e-mail there are eleven failed medical experiments (I think you call them youths) in St Marys Crescent, which is just off St Marys Road in Bodmin.
Six of them seem happy enough to play a game which involves kicking a football against an iron gate with the force of a meteorite.
This causes an earth shattering CLANG! which rings throughout the entire building.
This game is now in its third week and as I am unsure how the scoring system works, I have no idea if it will end any time soon.
The remaining five walking abortions are happily rummaging through several bags of rubbish and items of furniture that someone has so thoughtfully dumped beside the wheelie bins.
One of them has found a saw and is setting about a discarded chair like a beaver on speed.
I fear that it’s only a matter of time before they turn their limited attention to the bottle of calor gas that is lying on its side between the two bins.
If they could be relied on to only blow their own arms and legs off then I would happily leave them to it.
I would even go so far as to lend them the matches.
Unfortunately they are far more likely to blow up half the street with them and I’ve just finished decorating the kitchen.
What I suggest is this – after replying to this e-mail with worthless assurances that the matter is being looked into and will be dealt with, why not leave it until the one night of the year (probably bath night) when there are no mutants around then drive up the street in a panda car before doing a three point turn and disappearing again.
This will of course serve no other purpose than to remind us what policemen actually look like.

I trust that when I take a claw hammer to the skull of one of these throwbacks you’ll do me the same courtesy of giving me a four month head start before coming to arrest me.

Secondly I was delighted to hear that our street has its own community beat officer.
May I be the first to congratulate you on your covert skills?
In the five or so years I have lived in St Marys Crescent , I have never seen you.
Do you hide up a tree or have you gone deep undercover and infiltrated the gang itself?
Are you the one with the acne and the moustache on his forehead or the one with a chin like a wash hand basin?
It’s surely only a matter of time before you are headhunted by MI5.
Whilst I realise that there may be far more serious crimes taking place in Bodmin, such as smoking in a public place or being Muslim without due care and attention, is it too much to ask for a policeman to explain (using words of no more than two syllables at a time) to these twats that they might want to play their strange football game elsewhere.
The pitch on Fairpark Road , or the one at Priory Park are both within spitting distance as is the bottom of the Par Dock.

I can’t connect to the games for windows live service for over a week now, It tells me “The LIVE service for games for windows is currently unavailable, please try again later” only that later is now a week and no service. Has anybody else been having any trouble getting onto games for windows live or LIVE. I have tried googling to find an answer, emailing Microsoft games for windows team, and have asked two questions on this site and gotten no answer, websearch doesn’t help either and nobody near me even has games for windows live because I am the only one in the area with a good computer that can play these games so there’s no one left to ask, so please if you know anything or heard anything why it’s broken please let me know.

After reading through all the questions and complaints here it seems Yahoo doesn’t really care about it’s customers. Do they really think someone will pay money for a service (their premium services) that doesn’t provide any customer service. If you can’t find an answer to your problem already on the FAQ’s pages, you’re screwed. They will send you the same automated response, that either don’t help or pertain to the problem, over and over. They suck. I’m switching and telling all my friends and family to as well, some of whom I brought to Yahoo.

Anyone have alternate e-mail services that actually have live customer service? I’d gladly pay for an e-mail provider that cares and has phone support.
If you read my post, I have contacted their customer service. They have not been able to help me. They won’t even tell me what caused the problem. They send me canned reponses with the info that is already on the FAQ pages – info that doesn’t help, doesn’t relate to the problem, and they can’t even tell me what happened or why I had this issue. I’ve already worked through the FAQ’s and tried their so called solutions. But they fail to resolve the issue.

It’s typical customer support, they follow a flow chart (the same info already posted in the help section. If the problem isn’t contained in the set format, for some reason they won’t kick the problem further up the line to someone who can think outside the box (flow chart), and has the knowledge and skills to help.

Unless your problem is minor or very easy to solve, your out of luck. Make sure anything important in your e-mail account is backed up somewhere else.

It says to sent this information to them if trouble connecting but I am not sure of the answers or what thy mean..here is what they want to know and my notes..what do they mean on some of these things.

a) What type of computer you are using (Mac, PC, etc.) I don’t know it is dell
b) What Operating System your computer is running (Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98, Mac OS9, Mac OSX, etc.) it is windows xp
c) What version of the Windows Media Player you are using how do I know this
d) How you connect to the Internet (DSL, Cable Modem, T1, Dialup Modem, etc.), and who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider – IE AOL, Comcast, Earthlink, etc.) I get high speed internet with a modem..which is that.. please heklp me knowhow to answer these questions so I can hear my show..

I am trying to obtain a passport as quickly as possible and I was wondering if there is anywhere I can do this in person other than online. I realize that I will have to pay quite a bit of money for this service but I am in a serious bind . I live in Massachusetts. If anyone knows of such a place , please let me know. I am in the market for a new cell phone company, and have been looking at Verizon, Cingular, and Sprint….I live in Birmingham, AL…but would like to know what others think no matter what city or state. But please put what city and state that you are from when you answer…this will help me out greatly.

I was just wondering how the postal service validates that a postage stamp on an envelope you send is both valid (a design that they have created and sold) and genuine (not a forgery).

As far as I can tell, there are two general possibilities:

1. Machine verified: this would be tricky, as the software would have to scan and match colours, overlaps, etc., and also have knowledge of all stamps ever created, and reasonably determine that it is not simply an inkjet-printed sticker (i.e., a fake). There do not seem to be any easily identifiable machine-readable marks like barcodes, etc. on stamps that would facilitate this.

2. Human verified: this would seem to be even trickier, as each individual would have to have extensive knowledge of stamps – it may be the most accurate but it seems far too time-consuming (considering the volume of national post) to be practical.

An answer pertaining to any country is fine, though I would be most interested in info specific to the US (where I live)

I was discharged from the Navy about 6 years ago. Unfortunately I received a general discharge (under honorable conditions) with an RE-4 reentry code. The narrative reason for separation was misconduct with an HKQ code. After 6 yrs now, I have graduated from college and I am interested in going back to the service. I wanted to join the army national guard and go to officer candidate school. And so, I was wondering if I can do this even though I wasn’t honorably discharged from the Navy. I live in San Antonio, TX and any answers from recruiters or any other person with knowledge about this will be greatly appreciated.
