Yeah, I’m on Lithium and it’s made me ‘normal.’
Some people just need to take medication to correct their imbalances.

You may need a tutor. Ask your teachers if they can help provide you with study guides. Teachers like helping kids who want to help themselves. You’ll be surprised at how helpful they can be when approached.
Good luck. It sounds like you know your limitations and want to get the most out of your abilities.
That makes you much smarter than most people.
When there’s a will there’s a way. You have the will… you’ll find the way. Just ask your teachers.

My step dad has very bad bipolar, hes been on all kinds of medications and nothing has helped him. But about 5 months ago he found out about this natural supplement call True Hope, he takes it every day and he actually feels normal. It is kind of expensive but it dose work. You can go to to learn more about it.

My oldest daughter is 20 yrs old. She was diagnosed at about age 13 or so with Bipolar disorder.
For us, we suspected something was wrong with her from the time she was very little. She didn’t behave like other kids her age. And we had horrible behavior issues. But we didn’t have a clue. Unfotunately, my daughter was removed from my home at the age of 10 because she was hurting her baby sister. So she spent those last eight yrs in foster care although I was always behind the scenes trying to insure that her problems were being delt with; problems that I couldn’t handle at home.
Today, we know what it is. But giving it a name doesn’t make the challenges any easier to deal with. She has an impulsive need to spend money like it’s water. Her moods can swing in a heartbeat one way or the other. Mostly she’s in the manic high stage these days, thank goodness. But we have glimpses of the down side and it’s ugly. She is currently not on the right meds that will help her cope better with life and she refuses to take them because likes that high feeling. She is completely self centered and constantly scatter brained, never finishing anythng she starts.
She had to be “home schooled” because, although she has a genus IQ, she didn’t function in a tradtional school setting.
For you, hugs sweetie. It’s gonna be rough, but you are truly the only person who can decide to be better or not.
Insist on learning coping mechanisms, tools, that will help you cope with your ups and downs.
If you are on meds already, think of them as if you have diabetes, without them you will be sick. You need them even on those days when you may feeling really great.
Try to monitor yourself, if you are feeling out of control, high or low, find a way that will bring you back to center, or at least recognize that you may be hurting your loved ones with your actions.
It’s not easy but you can survive it. ; )
